Building a strong brand from the inside out
Stage Electrics approached Valhalla to create a new technical manual for its Opus integrated video, sound and lighting system. The advantages of having professional product documentation are clear, although equally significant was the opportunity to demonstrate to employees how important they are to the business. Delivering company material in a well-designed and easy-to-navigate style communicates the message: “We value you, and we want to support you in your role.”
We believe a brand is much more than just how you present yourself to external customers. It is also about setting a standard of professionalism that will extend into how employees approach their work. An authentic brand is something the whole company can own.
It is imperative that an organisation’s internal branding reflects what it is doing externally – not only the visual elements but also the communication of company values. It’s about what the business stands for and the things that set it apart from competitors.
When a team emotionally invests in your brand, their connection to the business deepens. They will feel good about where they work and become brand ambassadors, happy to evangelise to customers, fellow employees, friends and family.
The finished project sees the Opus system installation and servicing information together in a single volume for the first time. Valhalla employed a disciplined set of design styles and consistent language to deliver a coherent, easy-to-digest document in print and as an interactive PDF. The manual reinforces the Opus brand and elevates the Opus product range. It is now ready to be translated for international editions.
