Summer showtime!

I'm pleased to share the poster for the latest WhatNow Productions show, Naming The View, an adaptation of Shakespeare's The Taming of The Shrew.

The brief included the following scene-setting description "On a bench, gazing at the gob-smacking view from Cleeve Hill, Kate is unexpectedly joined by an irritating acquaintance from her past."

In lieu of any cast photography, I pieced together elements from a few different sources to create an image representing the narrative.

"The image is A-MAZE-ING! It's beautiful and reminds me of the feeling you get from that Casper David Friedrich painting. You absolutely know the person on the bench is somehow reflecting."

Richard Stevens, WhatNow Productions

The poster follows the What Now Productions house style, established during Valhalla's 2023 re-brand.

You can catch the play soon, but you'll have to be quick!

Also currently out in the wild across Cornwall are Valhalla-designed posters for the Wildworks production The Kneebone Cadillac. Set in the world of stock car racing the show is being staged at the United Downs Raceway in Redruth. Tickets are available for the July shows here.

If you have a branding project or a show to promote, get in touch and let Valhalla put you in the spotlight.
