After a comprehensive branding project at the start of the year. WhatNow Productions commissioned Valhalla to create marketing material for the company's second production.
Inspired by Bizet's Carmen, Come Out Fighting is a testosterone-driven love story, exploring the relationship between two squaddies.
A dramatic image from Steve Tanner sits at the centre of the campaign, specially commissioned for the play. After careful consideration, a concept was settled upon and a brief was established to create an image that captured the tension between the play's two protagonists. Eye contact from the front soldier catches your attention but only when you look again do you begin to pay attention to the second character. The ambiguous pose creates intrigue and suggests there is more to find out below the surface.
With the hero image at the centre, a full set of promotional material, including posters, flyers and social media assets were developed to facilitate a carefully scheduled press campaign.

Inspiration material gathered during the discovery process showing a mixture of composition and lighting that informed the hero image photoshoot and hint towards the play's narrative.
The poster design continues the house-style, established during the WhatNow Productions branding process. The company's zigzag icon forms a container for the show's hero image, reinforcing the brand and standing out at the same time.
